SUPER BOWL XLIX: Tips for Throwing an Awesome Party This Weekend

This Sunday at 6:30, the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will go head-to-head in Super Bowl XLIX. Following a game that has been surrounded by the DeflateGate controversy, the Patriots, who haven’t been champions since 2005, will try to defeat last year’s Super Bowl champions the Seahawks. While the game itself is sure to cause a rift among hardcore fans, there is one thing we can all look forward to: the Super Bowl parties. Here are some tips to make your Super Bowl party a success.

SUPER BOWL SQUARES

This is an essential at large Super Bowl gatherings, especially if you don’t really care about watching the game and just want a chance to win some money. Here are some printable football squares to get that pool started.

BACONE WRAPPER STUFFED JALAPEÑOS

So many delicious things wrapped into one. Here’s a recipe.

CRAFT BEER TASTING

If Katy Perry isn’t really your thing, a craft beer tasting is a great way to endure the half-time show. Here’s a creative way to sample some nice beers with your fellow partygoers. We recommend Narragansett Lovecraft Honey Ale and The Long Thaw by Harpoon Brewery.

QUICKLY COOL YOUR BEER

If you forgot to toss your beer in the refrigerator before the party and don’t like to drink warm beer, fill a cooler with ice and salt to cool them down in record time. Check out this step-by-step guide. Your beer should be good to drink in 10-20 minutes!

FOOTBALL PIZZA

Because it’s pizza and has a football made out of pepperonis and cheese.

GAP Team’s Fool Proof Plan for Sticking to Your New Year’s Resolution

January is the season of transformation as everyone kicks off their New Year’s Resolutions and makes 2015 a year to remember. As well intentioned as these resolutions may be, only about 8% of people actually follow through with them. However, this could be your year of beating the odds and GAP is here to help. We have a plan to help you pursue those difficult New Year’s Resolutions with solutions for some of the most commonly broken resolutions.

Resolution: Losing Weight

You may have packed on a few pounds from this past holiday season. Or maybe you’ve got a few pounds that you’ve been trying to get rid of for a while and you’re just blaming it on the holidays. You’ve bought your new gym membership, but what’s going to save you from choosing your unbelievably comfortable couch and the new season of your favorite show you’ve been dying to see?

Solution: New Workout Gear

We’ve got stop watches, jump ropes, and more to help you get motivated. Not the gym type? We have pedometers that will track your steps throughout your day so you’re aware of how much exercise you actually get. And then you’ll be one step closer to your weight loss goal.

Still not motivated? We’ve got some throw blankets that would look great on your couch, too.

Resolution: Learning Something New

Have you always wanted to learn a new language? 2015 is the year to channel your inner polyglot, so pick up a book about a language you’ve always wanted to learn and start reading! But what if your motivation runs out after a few lessons?

Solution: Organization

Whether you’re using Rosetta Stone or taking a class, we’ve got all the supplies you could possibly need. With notebooks, backpacks, pens, and pencils, the GAP team will help you stay organized so you can get the most out of your education.

Is learning a foreign language just not working for you? Write a few phrases down in one of our notebooks that will impress a gullible friend into thinking you are actually fluent.

Resolution: Traveling to New Places

You set aside money each year for traveling. But sometimes, things come up. Whether it’s an unexpected car repair, or not being able to get the time off, you may not follow through with your grand travel plans.

Solution: Old School Piggy Banks

Piggy banks aren’t just for children. Buy two piggy banks and set aside a certain amount each week. Use one for emergency situations and one for your travels only! And once you’ve saved up just enough, we can even supply you with all your travel item needs, such as duffel bags, luggage tags, and more.

Still couldn’t get the time off? Read our blog Road TripSurvival Guide, round up a group of friends, and take a weekend road trip!

At GAP Promotions, we are very excited for what 2015 has in store. We are attending the Beer Summit in Palm Beach next week, exhibiting at the WSWA Convention in April, and we are keeping busy with many exciting new opportunities. Now it’s your turn to make your year just as great by making those resolutions a reality!
