GAP Promo's Fall Favorites

The leaves are starting to change color, apples are being picked, and pumpkin spice is quickly taking over the world. Autumn is here! Living in New England provides us with so many activities to do during this season, and here are some of the GAP Team’s favorites!

Gayle
“Walking down the leaf-lined pathways on a sunny day at Ravenswood Park in Gloucester and making a contest out of catching the falling leaves – whoever loses buys drinks or dinner! Careful you don’t trip on a windy day where the leaf count is high!”

Kathryn
Crisp October nights with an outdoor fire, friends, and cocktails.”

Kim
“I love trick or treating with the kids and seeing everyone’s costumes and decorations!”

Jess
“I’ve never done it, but I think I would like apple picking.”

Erica
“Going pumpkin picking with my husband and drinking yummy apple cider!!”

Marissa
“Simple. Stepping on crunchy leaves!”

Mike
“PSL’s, Ugg Boots, Yoga Pants, My North Face, scarves on scarves, hay rides with my besties, pumpkin selfies and of course Hocus Pocus on ABC Family.”

Nicole
“Apple Picking!”

Sam
“Fall bonfires and apple cider!”

Pat
“Halloween. Period.”

Jamie
“Making Chili.”

McKenna
“Carving Pumpkins!”

Gearing up for Football Season

Call dibs on your game-winning lucky seat on the couch, toss on your favorite jersey, and prepare yourself. Football season is back!

Whether you have season tickets or a front row seat in your living room, we’ll prepare you for enjoying every second of the season. Even if you’re not a huge fan of the game but you still enjoy throwing the best party, we have a lot for you, too!

On our football Pinterestboard, you will find lots of ideas for every event of the season. We have simple ideas like turning your pizza into a football, or more elaborate ideas, like this appetizer stadium. Get creative with the sport and add this simple lace design to ice cream sandwiches, just make sure your guests don’t start throwing them around the house (unless you’re into that sort of thing).

During those pregame tailgates and commercial breaks, keep your party entertained with both indoor and outdoor activities, like our classic cornhole game. Before you head to the big game, remember to pack your things in a stadium-approved bag, and you won’t want to forget that stadium cushion!

And with the news that Tom Brady will be on the field for the Patriots’ season opener on September 10 against the Steelers, this season just got a whole lot more exciting.

Have fun and enjoy the season!

Throw Your Best Backyard Summer Bash

Now that you’ve finally recovered from your 4th of July party, you’re probably ready to turn your backyard into a party scene again. But coming up with ideas for entertainment has you stuck. Hosting a 4th of July party is easy; you cover everything in red, white, and blue, grill up some burgers and dogs, and you and your guests get front row seats to your neighbor’s fireworks show. How do you top that?

Games are always fun and prevent everyone from just standing around. There are some awesome backyard games that pair well with fun summer-time drinks. You could try Kan Jam, the new hit Spikeball, or the backyard favorite: cornhole. Are your guests Harry Potter fans? If not, they will be with this DIY backyard Quidditch game.

For decorations: take out the holiday lights early this year! Wrap them around tree trunks or hang them from branches to light up your party. You could even hang a frame from a tree branch for a fun outdoor photo booth. Gather some creative photo props for guests to use. And for chilling the drinks, nothing is better than our very own pub table cooler, seen below with Narragansetts on ice. If you don’t have a cooler (how do you not?), you could use the wheelbarrow that’s already sitting in your yard and just fill it with ice.

We have lots of other ideas to help you make your party great on our Backyard Summer Bash Pinterest board. We hope you have a blast and enjoy!

WBENC 2015 Recap

What a week! We recently returned from our trip to Austin, Texas for WBENC’s 2015 National Conference & Business Fair and are missing the armadillos and line dancing already!

Gayle, Kathryn, and Sam had a wonderful week filled with networking, learning, and laughing with fellow women-owned businesses. Danica Patrick, Carla Harris, and Jonathan Sprinkles were just some of the many inspirational speakers at this year’s event. We had a booth at 2014’s WBENC Conference in Philadelphia, but this year we decided to leave our displays at home and spend our time walking the floor and meeting as many great businesses as we could.

We left the Business Fair with some great advice, awesome promotional pieces, and a bunch of selfies! Promoting and ramping up for this WBENC conference was really important to us, so we went into the event with the #WBENCConf hashtag blazing. Using our custom-branded Selfie Sticker, we took lots of selfies with the friends we made throughout the day. We even got one of the workshops we participated in to take a big group selfie. Here are some photos from our week in Austin, but make sure to check out our Twitter and Facebook for the rest!

And, as always, be sure to support women-owned businesses!
